nobodyguy Soweit ich mich erinnere hat er ein paar der letzten Transfers kritisiert, dass die nicht so gut waren und die 10-20 Mio. gekostet haben oder so ähnlich. War aber im Sommer.

He hasn't even trained with the team yet due to his injury. As far as I know he spent the whole January in Salzburg for rehabilitation, then he returned to Leipzig at the beginning of February but not much information was given since then. First they said it should be an adductor problem, then it became the inflammation of the pubic bone... Even his agent said a couple of days ago that his rehabilitation is going well, but his return is still uncertain... It's been said that Szobo had this problem in Salzburg already playing with painkillers. The whole story stinks for me...

Hey guys. Just a little update or shall I say non update about Dominik's situation. He still hasn't started team training yet and Leipzig actually refuses to give any update about him. We still have no clue what his real problem is and the club's silence doesn't help either. Nagelsmann said in his press conference today that his situation is really difficult and he was unable to make any forecast on his return. According to him it will take a while... I assume we will not see him for the rest of the season and I'm afraid neither on Euro... It is still hard to believe for me that he was playing with a serious injury throughout in Salzburg so something clearly stinks here. The silence (or lack of information) from Leipzig and from Dominik's management proves that. In any case if he won't be able to play in Euro it will be a huge blow for him and certainly for our country as well. Never wished so much that he stayed in Salzburg...

Axelsim so something clearly stinks here

What do you think could be the real reason?

I have no idea but all this silence nonsense gives me the vibes that it is not only about "injury". Or maybe it is but they constantly refuse to give exact information about him. Would be better to clear things openly...

I could think of two simple reasons, either of them plausible, either of them could lead to inconvenient questions for RBL.
Dominik's injury could have been right away worse than expected - was it missed at the medical check, or why would they pay lots of money for that transfer anyway? Or did his condition worsen after the move - which could lead to couple of tough question for the medical department.
Either way, good reasons to avoid the discussion - which is exactly what they do.
It's certainly not good for Dominik. You don't want to start a new challenge like that.

Hey guys! Well it's been a while but congrats to you all on the cup win as well as on the likely Bundesliga title. 🙂
As for Szobo it was a quite hard and uneventful period. As you saw he started training with the team just a couple of days ago. He's also been called up for the Euro even though most likely he won't play a single game anymore this season. The national coach said that he has clear criteria when selecting the players from which the most important is that they play regularly. He only made one exception this time who is Dominik. He has to be ready physically by 1st of June otherwise he won't be on the shortlist. We will see how it goes but this spring must have been really hard for him. Clearly we need him in the Euro but not at all costs (we are in a death group anyway). The most important is that he will be 100% for the next season where he will be reunited with a familiar face. 🙂 I won't lie, I am genuinely happy that Nagelsmann leaves and Jesse takes over. He clearly knows how to get the best out of Domi. That's it for now.
Wish you guys all the best.
