Provisional visas. There’s another big piece of news for clubs that have exceeded their limits. Each club will be allowed to provisionally register three players (one transfer and two free agents), with a salary cap of only one season. This will allow clubs to try to raise enough money throughout the season to permanently register those three players for subsequent seasons.
Renewing youth players who have flourished in the first team. The possibility of renewing a player’s contract (even if there is no salary cap) is possible if the player is under 24 years old and has been fully contracted for at least the three previous consecutive seasons with the same club. However, this excess salary cap must be recovered during the course of the season or it will be deducted from the salary cap generated in the following season.
Amortizations . LaLiga has copied UEFA and implemented a maximum amortization period for transfers of five accounting seasons for clubs that are not over their salary cap and four for those that are. This means that if a club signs a player for €50 million for six seasons, this contract must be amortized over a maximum of five seasons.
