Liverpool have wrapped up a £25m deal to sign a new striker, with the deal to be announced this week, Everton are closing on a new full-back, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Arsenal are readying a move for classy Sevilla midfielder.
PATSON DAKA TO SIGN FOR LIVERPOOL THIS WEEK
Liverpool have ‘agreed a deal’ and ‘will announce’ Patson Daka as their latest signing this week, according to a bold report.
Both West Ham and the Reds have been linked with the 22-year-old who has been scoring goals for fun with RB Salzburg. The Zambia international has smashed in 68 goals and assisted a further 27 during his four years in Austria.
However, this season he has reached a whole new level and has netted 34 times and also has 12 assists to name, taking his tally to 46-goal involvements.
That has, predictably, led to strong interest in the player.
And now the Zambian Observer claims that Daka is to sign for Liverpool and will this week be unveiled as their latest signing.
They write that the 22-year-old will join the Reds on a four-year deal and for a fee of around £25m.
He will be seen as Divock Origi’s replacement in the squad and someone who can keep their forwards on their toes. Furthermore, Daka is also seen as a solid option to bring off the bench for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Lightening fast and with an obvious eye for goal, Daka has been compared to Thierry Henry in the past.
And the article claims the move for Daka will see Liverpool end their interest in Leeds United’s Raphinha.
