Patson Daka likely to leave Salzburg this summer amid Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal links
RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka is expected to move on from the Austrian club this summer, according to the Salzburger Nachrichten.
Daka has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in the past 12 months. Spurs were credited with an interest at the back end of 2020, while West Ham, Arsenal, and Liverpool are all thought to have watched him.
And the report from the Nachrichten quotes Salzburg sporting director, Christoph Freund, as conceding the club will lose some of its star names this summer.
“During the summer transfer period, there will be a lot of inquiries from clubs in the top European leagues. Players will also leave us,” he admitted.
Freund’s comments are likely to catch the attention of Premier League clubs. Indeed, it was only in January that West Ham were linked with a move for Daka, where a £25m deal was said to be in the offing. (Talksport)
Daka has 18 goals in just 16 league games this season. At 22, the Zambian star is seen as one of the brightest talents on the continent, meaning a move could well happen in the coming months
TBR View: Daka looks the business but surely Leipzig beckons?
Premier League clubs will want Daka and at £25m, he might be a snip. But surely RB Leipzig will be in the mix to land him, given the pyramid of clubs owned by Red Bull?
